With „Mordechaj Gebirtig or Fare Thee Well My Krakow. 70th anniversary of death. 1942 – 2012“ Piotr Szalsza created a musical documentary film about the Polish poet, composer and carpenter and his home district in Krakow – Kazimierz. His beautiful and humourous songs, critical of the era, are sung to this day all over the world. Piotr Szalsza will give an introduction and answer questions after the screening. The event is a collaboration of the Polish Institute, the Friendship Society Israel Poland, the Austrian Cultural Forum Tel Aviv, Wiener-Krakauer Kultur-Gesellschaft and the Cinematheque Tel Aviv.
